Private viewings

Three or four times a year, in whichever city the work is in.

Every ring is made singly, after it is chosen, which means almost nothing we make is ever sitting in a room. A viewing is the exception — the settings together on one table, with loose stones beside them, and the person who drew them there to answer for the decisions. The house moves between London and Australia, and the dates follow.

What it is

An hour, and no counter.

One party at a time

One party at a time

Appointments run an hour and do not overlap. There is no shop floor, no queue behind you, and nobody else looking at the same table.

The stones are the reason

The stones are the reason

Old cuts photograph badly. A stone that looks unremarkable in a listing can be the one you take, and the only way to know is to turn it under real light in your own hand.

You are not expected to decide

You are not expected to decide

Most people leave having chosen a direction rather than a ring. Commissions begin more often by email in the following weeks than they do on the day, and that is the normal course of it.

Between the dates.

Viewings are a few days a year. The work is made all of it.

Most weeks we take appointments — forty-five minutes by video, with loose stones under daylight on camera. That is where the majority of rings actually begin, and it is not a substitute for coming to a viewing so much as a different occasion: stones there, settings here.

If you would rather see something in person before deciding, say so and we will hold it for the next date in your city instead.
